After two defeats last weekend the Belfast Giants will try to get back to winning ways tonight when the travel to take on the London Racers.

Brian Nugent and Kenny Dunlop have announced the names of the Cycling Ulster-Devlin Opticians youth squad who will be travelling to the Manchester velodrome later this month.

 

Basketball - Star going on a 'blind date'

Danny Fulton and his Star of the Sea boys are going on a blind date to Waterford tomorrow. They play the Crystals in the men’s Superleague but know nothing about the opposition.

Football - Leeds' Healy bid fails

Preston have rejected a "laughable" £100,000 bid from Leeds for wantaway striker David Healy.  The Northern Ireland international is keen to leave Deepdale, having turned down a new three-year contract, and is set to become a free agent next summer should he stay at Preston.

 

Bowls - McCune Remains upbeat

Manager Roy McCune was upbeat in spite of Ireland's Test Match defeat in Australia last week.  McCune headed a three-man team of Paul Daly, Neil Booth and Jim Baker on a whistle-stop visit to Tweed's Head.

 

Hockey - Bangor in Catch Up bid

Bangor could be excused for feeling like the odd team out when the draw was made for the Powerade Kirk Cup semi-finals earlier this week.

 

Motorcycling - Barth sets sights on North-West
